About this bottle
Dom Pérignon is named after the Benedictine monk from the abbey in Hautvillers (pronounced oh-vee-LAIR) and has made only vintage Champagne from the start. Each wine comes from a single year and is made only when the year allows it.
On the nose, white flowers, citrus and almond, with a delicate note of brioche. On the palate the wine is taut and precise, with clear minerality and a long, dry finish.
The blend combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and the wine ages in the house's cellars for many years before disgorgement. This version has a Luminous label, whose shield lights up when switched on.
Serve at 8-10 °C with oysters, fish, poultry and mature cheeses. For an evening party, as a gift and for the cellar.
