Taittinger is one of the last great Champagne houses that bear the name of their owners and are run by them. The house from Reims (pronounced rans) focuses on Chardonnay and keeps its wines in chalk pits beneath the city.
Under the name Cuvée (pronounced koo-VAY) Prestige, Taittinger sells its core Brut in some markets.
It works as an aperitif and with fish and seafood.
