About this bottle
Paul Bara makes two Spécial Club cuvées (pronounced spay-syal kloob), a white and a rosé. This one is the rosé, and it is a vintage wine. We confirm the vintage when you order.
It is a deep pink with fine bubbles, notes of cherry and wild strawberry, and on the palate it is powerful yet fresh, with a long finish. Each vintage turns out slightly different.
Its colour comes from the addition of red wine from Bouzy (pronounced boo-ZEE).
With duck with cherries and red meat. A good gift for a lover of rosé Champagne.
About the houseThe Bara family has farmed vineyards in Bouzy since 1833 and owns only grand cru plots here. The house focuses on Pinot Noir, blocks malolactic fermentation and makes one of the most highly regarded red wines in Champagne.History, people and stories: Paul Bara
