About this bottle
De Saint-Gall Blanc de Blancs (pronounced blahn duh BLAHN) Grand Cru is a dry white sparkling wine from France. It is a Champagne from the highest-classified grand cru vineyards (pronounced grahn KREW), made entirely from Chardonnay, which gives it finesse, lightness and a deep chalky minerality. Long ageing on the lees adds complexity. On the nose, lemon, green apple and white flowers, followed by notes of brioche, almond, hazelnut and chalk. The bubbles are very fine and creamy, the palate elegant, taut and precise, and the finish long, citrusy and mineral. Excellent as an aperitif and with oysters, seafood, lobster and fish.
About the houseThe brand of a union of cooperatives that owns the highest-classified vineyards in Champagne. Behind the De Saint Gall label stand more than two thousand growers from the best villages of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, including the cooperative from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.History, people and stories: De Saint Gall
