About this bottle
Lanson Le Vintage 2013 is a dry white sparkling wine from France. It is the vintage Champagne of the Lanson house, made only in good years from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Lanson is famous for a fresh style based mainly on wines that do not go through malolactic fermentation; long ageing on the lees adds depth. On the nose, ripe apple, lemon and peach, followed by developed notes of brioche, nuts, honey and chalk. The bubbles are fine, the palate taut, mature and precise, and the finish long and mineral, with a hint of bread. Excellent with seafood, lobster, poultry, fish and mature cheeses.
About the houseOne of the oldest houses in Champagne, with a Maltese cross on its label and a British Royal Warrant since the time of Queen Victoria. Lanson is known for an approach rare among large houses: most of its wines do not go through malolactic fermentation, so they are crisp and long-lived.History, people and stories: Lanson
