About this bottle
Bollinger is a family-owned, independent house from Aÿ (pronounced ah-EE), founded in 1829. It focuses on Pinot Noir and fermentation in oak barrels, and has supplied Champagne to the British court since 1884.
Bollinger has appeared in the James Bond films since the 1970s and from time to time releases a limited edition to mark the occasion. Inside is Special Cuvée (pronounced spay-SYAL koo-VAY), the house's flagship blend based on Pinot Noir, partly fermented in barrels.
A full-bodied Champagne with firm structure that stands up well to food: poultry, fish cooked in butter, mature cheeses. The limited-edition box makes it a ready-made gift for a Bond fan.
