About this bottle
Laurent Bénard Vendange Extra Brut is a dry white sparkling wine from France. It is a vintage Champagne from premier cru vineyards (pronounced pruh-MYAY KREW), from the artisan house Laurent Bénard, in the Extra Brut style with a low dosage, which makes it taut and mineral. It ages for a long time on the lees. On the nose, green apple, citrus and white flowers, followed by notes of brioche, nuts and chalk. The bubbles are fine and creamy, the palate taut, precise and dry, and the finish long and mineral. Excellent as an aperitif and with seafood, oysters, fish and poultry.
About the houseThe organic brand of an engineer from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ who, alongside the classic Champagnes of the family-run Bénard-Pitois house, makes Extra Brut and Brut Nature Champagnes without added sulphur under his own name.
