About this bottle
Gosset Celebris Vintage 2007 Extra Brut is a dry white sparkling wine from France. It is the prestige cuvée (pronounced koo-VAY) of the oldest wine house in Champagne, made only in exceptional vintages, from the best vineyards. The low Extra Brut dosage and long ageing on the lees over many years give a wine of great depth and finesse. On the nose, ripe apple, candied citrus and dried peach, followed by developed notes of brioche, hazelnut, honey, toast and chalk. The bubbles are very fine and silky, the palate full, mature and mineral, and the finish remarkably long and complex. Excellent with lobster, fine fish, poultry in cream sauces and mature cheeses. A Champagne in a collector's edition, for the most important occasions.

About the houseThe oldest wine house in Champagne: Pierre Gosset was trading wine from Aÿ as early as 1584, more than a hundred years before the bubbles. Gosset makes Champagne like wine, without malolactic fermentation and with long ageing, in a squat bottle that is easy to spot from afar.History, people and stories: Gosset
