About this bottle

Deutz Brut Millésimé (pronounced mee-lay-zee-may) is a Champagne from France. It is the vintage Champagne of the renowned Deutz house from Aÿ (pronounced ah-EE), made exclusively from the grapes of a single good vintage, with longer ageing on the lees. It is a mature, complex and elegant expression of the house. On the nose, ripe apple, peach, citrus, a hint of brioche, nuts, honey and toast. The bubbles are fine and creamy, the palate full and elegant, and the finish long and complex. Excellent for celebrations, as an aperitif and with seafood, fish and poultry.

About the houseA house from Aÿ founded by two Germans from Aachen, burnt down by winegrowers in 1911, saved by a widow and, since 1993, developed under the wing of Roederer. Deutz makes restrained, precise Champagnes that are very good value for money.History, people and stories: Deutz
