About this bottle
Taisne Riocour Blanc de Noirs (pronounced blahn duh NWAR) is a white sparkling wine from France. It is a Champagne made entirely from Pinot Noir, from an artisan producer, in a full, fruity style with ageing on the lees. Blanc de Noirs gives more body and fruit than classic Champagnes. On the nose, ripe apple, red fruit, citrus, a hint of brioche and nuts. The bubbles are fine and creamy, the palate full, fruity and precise, and the finish long, with a hint of bread. Excellent as an aperitif and with seafood, poultry, fish and mature cheeses.
About the houseA family from Les Riceys, the southernmost and largest commune in Champagne, which for decades sold its wines to the Ayala and Joseph Perrier houses. Since 2018 it has been releasing them under its own name, and the first blends were put together by Philippe Jamesse, one of the best-known sommeliers in the region.History, people and stories: Taisne Riocour
