About this bottle
Canard-Duchêne is a house from Ludes (pronounced LOOD) on the Montagne de Reims (pronounced mohn-TAN-yuh duh RANS), founded in 1868 by Victor Canard and Léonie Duchêne. The double-headed eagle on the label recalls that the house supplied Champagne to the court of the Tsars. Today it belongs to the Thiénot group.
Cuvée (pronounced koo-VAY) Léonie is named after Léonie Duchêne, who founded the house together with her husband. It has a gold label and is a Champagne in a fresh, fruity style.
Good as an aperitif and with nibbles, and for a toast at a family occasion.
