About this bottle
Canard-Duchêne is a house from Ludes (pronounced LOOD) on the Montagne de Reims (pronounced mohn-TAN-yuh duh RANS), founded in 1868 by Victor Canard and Léonie Duchêne. The double-headed eagle on the label recalls that the house supplied Champagne to the court of the Tsars. Today it belongs to the Thiénot group.
Brut Réserve (pronounced broot ruh-ZAIRV) is the house's core non-vintage blend, with a chestnut-coloured label and an eagle on the neck.
It works as an aperitif, with nibbles and as a Champagne for a larger gathering.
