About this bottle
Bollinger is a family-owned, independent house from Aÿ (pronounced ah-EE), founded in 1829. It focuses on Pinot Noir and fermentation in oak barrels, and has supplied Champagne to the British court since 1884.
Rosé is made from a blend in the style of Special Cuvée (pronounced spay-SYAL koo-VAY) with the addition of red wine from Pinot Noir. It is a full-bodied, expressive rosé Champagne, more for food than just for a toast.
It goes with duck, salmon, tartare and desserts with red fruit. The bottle comes in the house's own box, so it makes a gift without extra wrapping.
