About this bottle
Bernard Bijotat is a family grower house from Romeny-sur-Marne, a village at the western end of the Marne Valley. Bernard runs it with his son Sébastien and makes Champagne from their own vineyards, mostly from Meunier, typical of this part of Champagne.
Brut Nature (pronounced broot na-TEWR) is a Champagne to which no sugared liqueur is added after disgorgement. This makes it taste dry and very clean, with no rounding from sweetness.
It tastes best with oysters, seafood and sushi. It is a Champagne for those who like uncompromising dryness.
About the houseA family of growers from Romeny-sur-Marne, a village on the Marne between Charly-sur-Marne and Château-Thierry, on the Picardy edge of Champagne. Today two houses here bear the Bijotat name, run by two branches of the same family.History, people and stories: Bijotat
